Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship

Dispensing & Checking

Assemble prescriptions, generate labels, and perform accuracy-checking on medications.

Patient Care

Offer health and lifestyle advice, help with inhaler techniques, support medicines reconciliation, and counsel patients.

•

Stock & Workflow Management

Order, receive, and replenish stock, manage dispensary workflows, and handle controlled drugs safely.

•

Specialist Services

Participate in hospital aseptic (sterile) preparation, clinical trials, mental health services, or primary care medication reviews.

•

Team Supervision

Supervise pharmacy support staff, coordinate training, and escalate complex clinical queries to the pharmacist.

Working Week

PTPT vacancy as learner has left on day 1 9am-6pm Mon -Fri

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

• Previous experience in the pharmacy industry or similar.
