About this role
Nobody is walking for WoofWalk in Southampton yet. We want three walkers to start: one near the Common, one on the Bitterne and Woolston side, one out towards Shirley and Millbrook.
WoofWalk is a UK app in which dog owners book a local walker or sitter. You run it as your own business. You set what you charge for a walk, a drop-in or overnight sitting, you decide when you are available, and owners book and pay through the app. The money is paid out to you. There is no employer, no wage and no guaranteed income; you earn from the bookings you choose to take.
Public sitter listings in Southampton show half-hour walks from £7 to £24 and typically £17, group walks around £14, home visits about £16 and home boarding around £35 a night. Those are other walkers' prices. We will show you what you would keep at any price you set.
Southampton Common is the obvious ground, with Riverside Park, Weston Shore, Royal Victoria Country Park and the Itchen Valley for variety.
How we are paid
nothing to join. No commission for your first 14 days, then 15% of each booking, dropping to 10% for life once five clients have joined through you. You deal with your own tax, National Insurance and insurance.
Students with free mornings and anyone working evenings or weekends tend to fit this well. Over 18.
