About this role

Durham has no WoofWalk walker yet.

We want three

one for the city and the colleges, one for the villages to the west, one for the coast around Seaham.

WoofWalk is a UK app for booking a local dog walker or sitter.

You are self-employed on it

your prices, your hours, your bookings. Owners book and pay in the app and you are paid out from it. We do not employ you and we cannot guarantee work.

Durham prices from public sitter listings: an hour's walk £14 to £20 and typically £15, a half-hour around £7.50, home visits about £11, home boarding £25 to £55 a night. Those are other walkers' prices; set your own.

The Riverside Walk round the peninsula, Wharton Park and Hamsterley Forest are the main grounds, and the Durham Heritage Coast beaches are open to dogs all year, which is rare.

You pay nothing to join. For 14 days there is no commission; after that WoofWalk takes 15% of each booking, and 10% for life once five of your clients have joined through you. Your tax, National Insurance and insurance are your own to manage.

Students with free mornings do well here, as do people in the villages with a car. Over 18.
