Within the Streetscene service, the Contracts Team delivers a wide range of regulatory services. The Council takes a proactive stance in addressing environmental crime and has a proven track record.
We are looking to recruit a full-time Streetscene Officer on a temporary basis, for up to 12 months, to improve the quality of life for residents. This will involve using a range of tools and powers, including statutory enforcement and education/prevention work, to address environmental quality of life issues in the borough.
The role involves a full range of environmental services, including responding to customer complaints, requests for service, investigations, proactive inspections and using innovative solutions across a wide range of legislative approaches to address complex issues. The role also includes working on local and national initiatives.
The post is based in the Council’s Town Hall offices within Burnley town centre.
