Apprentice Baker

Denholm Bakers, a family-run business with over a century of tradition, is looking for an apprentice Baker to join its team in Wishaw. Our company is known for its high-quality, handcrafted baked goods and is seeking a reliable individual to contribute to its legacy.

You will be responsible for producing a wide range of bakery products from scratch, maintaining our high standards of quality and craftsmanship. You will be guided through your apprenticeship by our own bakers as well as being put through on-site training by Scottish Bakers, who have been supporting bakers for over a hundred years. Together, they will help you grow and develop in the bakery sector.

Your duties will include

• Handcrafting a variety of baked goods, including all types of pastry.

• Piping and decorating cakes.

• Working from traditional, scratch recipes.

• Performing stock rotation and checking stores

• Assisting with other bakery tasks as needed.

Requirements

• A dedicated and hardworking individual.

• Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain high standards.

• Reliable with excellent time-keeping skills, especially for early morning starts.

• A team player who can collaborate with colleagues in a fast-paced environment.

• Flexibility to work early morning shifts Monday to Saturdays, with a day off during the week.
