Information Governance Manager

What's involved with this role

Triumph Consultants are looking for an Information Governance Manager to lead the Trust’s Information Governance function, ensuring compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. You will provide expert IG advice, oversee assurance and information rights processes, manage IG officers and deputise for the Data Protection Officer. Contract is for 3 months in Bradford, BD5 0QL.

Key requirements

Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in Information Governance, Data Protection or a related field.

Significant IG experience within a public-sector or regulated environment.

Strong working knowledge of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018 and Information Governance legislation.

Previous experience supervising staff, providing leadership and quality assurance.

Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Key responsibilities

Lead the operational delivery of the Trust’s Information Governance function and ensure robust compliance processes.

Provide expert advice on data protection, information security, FOI, EIR and records management, while deputising for the DPO.

Lead and quality-assure DPIAs, data-sharing agreements, privacy notices, information risk assessments and IG audits.

Oversee SAR, FOI, data breach and information rights processes, ensuring statutory timescales and quality standards are met.

Manage and develop IG officers and work with internal and external partners, including NHS, Police and Education.
