Active8 Minds – We’re Looking for a Brilliant Playworker!

Active8 Minds is looking for an enthusiastic Playworker (arts & crafts facilitator) to join our friendly team and help children learn, grow, and thrive in a safe, exciting environment. If you’re energetic, organised, and enjoy supporting children through play, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact.

Location - Langrish Primary School (must drive, unless the applicant lives locally to the school)

• 5 minute drive from Petersfield
• 15 minute drive from Borden, Liphook
• 12 minute drive from Greatham

Hours

Delivering Arts & Crafts at the After‑School Club (15:00 - 18:00 PM, must be available for these hours)

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with children in schools or childcare
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive, caring, calm approach
• Confidence supporting children and encouraging creative play
• Relevant childcare/playwork qualifications (or willingness to complete training)

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting play sessions and helping deliver inclusive, engaging activities
• Creating a safe, welcoming environment where children feel happy and confident
• Preparing resources and ensuring sessions are well‑organised
• Building positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
• Following safeguarding procedures and reporting concerns appropriately
• Helping ensure every child leaves with a smile and great memories

Successful candidates must complete an enhanced DBS check (this will be paid for by Active8 Minds).
