Practice Nurse

Working as part of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide a broad range of nursing services to our patients. Your duties will be tailored to your experience, competencies and training and may include: Routine nursing assessments and patient reviews. Long-term condition management, including diabetes, COPD and asthma Wound and ulcer care Cervical screening/cytology. Routine, childhood and travel vaccinations and immunisations. Contraception and family planning. Health promotion and well-person clinics. Blood pressure monitoring, ECGs and urinalysis. Taking appropriate clinical specimens, including swabs. Peak flow measurement Minor illness assessment and management within your scope of practice. Supporting travel health assessments and providing appropriate health advice. Recognising and responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns. Maintaining accurate and contemporaneous clinical records. Participating in clinical audit, quality improvement and service development. Working collaboratively with GPs, nurses, healthcare assistants and the wider practice team.
