Toolroom Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Toolroom Engineer to join a large international manufacturer of electrical components. This is a hands-on role supporting the business with the production, repair, maintenance, and development of tooling, as well as the manufacture of small-batch precision components for NPI, sampling, and testing.

You will play a key role in ensuring tooling meets exacting quality and tolerance requirements while contributing to continuous improvement and innovation across tooling and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture new tooling and refurbish existing tooling for moulding and product assembly

• Develop innovative tooling solutions to support efficient manufacture

• Machine tooling and NPI piece parts to precise tolerances

• Produce small quantities of piece parts (typically up to 5-off) for NPI, samples, and testing

• Work closely with design, manufacturing, and process engineers to advise on tooling design and process improvements

• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and company policies

• Undertake other reasonable duties as required to support the Toolroom and wider business
