About this role
A Vacancy at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust.
Telecoms & Network Support Engineer
Join our Digital Services team as a Telecoms & Network Support Engineer, where you’ll play a key role in supporting and maintaining the Trust’s telecommunications and network infrastructure, hardware and systems. This includes IP-based telephony and legacy infrastructure, network hardware, and associated technologies, ensuring they remain reliable, secure, and available in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Working alongside colleagues in both the Voice and Network teams, you’ll contribute to the smooth operation of critical systems that underpin day-to-day business activities. Collaboration is central to the role, as you’ll work closely with wider Digital Services teams to deliver a high-quality, responsive service to users across the organisation.
This is a hands-on technical role that includes cross-site travel and may require participation in an on-call rota, providing out-of-hours support when required. You’ll report to the Head of Data and Voice Services and may also receive direction from Voice, Network, and Digital Services management teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in a supportive environment while contributing to essential IT services.
