Service Advisor

We are working on behalf of our client to recruit a Service Advisor for their well-established automotive bodyshop in Kirkby. The Service Advisor will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to customers throughout their vehicle repair journey.

Duties of a Service Advisor

• Act as the primary contact for customers, offering a professional, friendly service
• Manage customer enquiries via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions
• Keep customers informed regarding the progress of their vehicle repairs
• Schedule vehicle bookings, collections, and deliveries as required
• Liaise with workshop team to obtain accurate repair updates and timescales
• Communicate effectively with insurers and relevant third parties
• Explain repair procedures and timescales clearly to customers
• Resolve customer queries promptly and professionally
• Maintain accurate and detailed customer and vehicle records
• Provide general administrative support to the wider team
• Ensure customers receive regular updates during their vehicle’s repair process

Requirements of a Service Advisor

• Previous experience in customer service, administration, or as a Service Advisor
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Organised with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and manage workload efficiently
• Good IT literacy and confidence in using computer systems
• Calm, professional attitude, especially during challenging situations
• Proactive with a team-oriented approach
• Automotive or bodyshop experience is advantageous but not essential
