Nursery Practitioner Pre-school Room Leader

We’re looking for an experienced Preschool Room Leader to join The Butterfly Patch Morden Park for 9 months’ maternity cover, starting in January 2027.

Our unique Morden Park setting is a hybrid nursery and Forest School, with regular outdoor sessions in the 190-acre Morden Park as well as time inside a more traditional nursery environment.

You’ll lead the preschool room, support your team, manage ratios and remain hands-on with the children. You’ll also spend time outdoors in most weather conditions alongside our dedicated Forest School Leaders.

No previous Forest School experience is required.

We try to reduce unnecessary written observations and paperwork, focusing instead on really knowing each child and giving them meaningful Early Years experiences.

This maternity cover role often leads to permanent opportunities within one of our 10 Butterfly Patch and Mindful Nurseries settings.
