About this role

You will be an experienced, resilient and compassionate clinician who places children, young people and their families at the heart of your practice. You will manage a specialist caseload of children and young people with moderate to severe learning disabilities, neurodevelopmental conditions and complex mental health needs, ensuring that assessments, interventions and support are delivered in a timely, evidence-based and person-centred manner. You will actively promote the voice of the child and young person, ensuring their views, experiences and goals inform clinical decision-making and are clearly reflected within clinical records and care plans. The post holder will provide specialist psychological consultation, formulation and advice to multidisciplinary colleagues across the Barnet CYMHS SCAN service, supporting high-quality assessment, risk management and intervention planning for children and young people with complex presentations. Working as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery and ongoing development of Barnet CYMHS SCAN, helping to improve outcomes for children and young people with learning disabilities, autism, ADHD and associated mental health difficulties. You will work collaboratively with families, schools, social care services, paediatric services and wider partner agencies to ensure joined-up, effective and holistic care.
