About this role
Join our new, high-impact project supporting Year 11 pupils who are at increased risk of becoming NEET. You’ll help young people navigate their final stages of secondary education and make a successful, sustained move into further education, an apprenticeship, employment or another positive destination.
You will manage your own caseload of learners based in North Devon Schools, working closely with the Lead Transition Youth Worker based in Exeter. You’ll build trusted, professional relationships with young people and, where appropriate, their families; identify barriers; agree personalised transition plans; and provide practical and motivational support through applications, enrolment, induction and the crucial first weeks of a young person’s next step.
Working with schools, College teams, careers services, employers, apprenticeship teams, local authorities and specialist agencies, you’ll coordinate support so young people do not fall through the gaps. You’ll maintain accurate records, monitor engagement and destinations, and escalate risks and safeguarding concerns promptly.
