Hays Education are recruiting dedicated Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants to work in a specialist educational setting in Coventry. These are long-term positions with the opportunity to progress from temporary to permanent employment for the right candidates.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience supporting children and young people with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, sensory needs, and complex needs.

Your new role

• Supporting children and young people in the classroom and around the setting

Working 1

1 and in small groups

• Promoting engagement, independence, and positive behaviour
• Assisting teaching staff with learning activities
• Helping students develop social, emotional, and life skills

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience working with children or young people
• A patient, resilient, and caring approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A genuine passion for supporting individuals with additional needs
• Ability to work as part of a team

Essential Requirements

• An Enhanced Children and Adults DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Ability to provide two employment references
• Right to work in the UK
• Experience working with children or young people
