Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry

The clinical responsibilities of the job will include Psychiatric assessment and management of patients aged 18 and above. The post holder would work together with the wider multidisciplinary team and external agencies to develop and deliver formulations, risk assessment and care plan and treatment packages through the use of their expertise in diagnostics, psychopharmacology and other psychosocial interventions. The post holder will contribute to service management and development together with their line managers and co-workers. The post holder will participate in the out of hours on call rota . The Job dedicated SPA time to supporting you in professional activities including continuous professional development, developing any academic interest and to partake in teaching, audit and research. This is a substantive and full-time post however we would be happy to consider applicants available on a part time or fixed term basis. Applicants should be on the Specialist Register or be within 6 months of obtaining CCT at the point of interview. Candidates should be suitably qualified, including eligibility for Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status.
