Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Primary - Ashton-under-Lyne - £140-£170 per day

Luma Education Recruitment is looking for a dedicated and experienced HLTA to join a community primary school in Ashton-under-Lyne full time.

This is a rewarding role. You'll work closely with primary pupils who have SEMH and SEN needs. Your job is to get them back on track with their learning and then reintegrate them into the main classroom successfully.

Your role as an HLTA

  • Plan and deliver targeted learning and nurture interventions to close gaps
  • Design and carry out reintegration plans, with phased returns to the classroom
  • Track progress, keep records and feed back to the SENCO, class teachers and parents
  • Help gather evidence and contribute to EHCP applications where needed
  • Guide and support Teaching Assistants working with the same pupils

What we're looking for

  • HLTA status, or significant experience at a similar level in SEMH or SEN
  • Experience supporting pupils with additional needs in a primary setting
  • Experience delivering interventions and planning learning for small groups
  • A dedicated, nurturing and proactive approach, with a passion for helping children reach their potential
  • Strong organisation and communication skills

What you'll get
