Family Support Worker - Social Care Non-Qualified

The Family Support Worker will provide practical, emotional and hands-on support to children, young people and families who may be experiencing a range of challenges and difficulties.

*Working alongside Social Workers and other professionals, you will help families build positive relationships, develop parenting skills and improve their overall wellbeing and independence.

*The role will involve carrying out home visits and direct work with families, supporting children and young people with their development, safety and emotional wellbeing, and helping parents access appropriate services, education, healthcare and community resources.

*You will contribute to assessments, care plans and reviews, maintain accurate and confidential case records, monitor progress and identify and report any safeguarding or welfare concerns.

*The successful candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies, provide consistent and compassionate support, and encourage families to develop the confidence, resilience and practical skills needed to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes.
