Psychology Graduate looking to gain valuable experience working with young people and develop a career within education?
We are currently recruiting for a
Psychology Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in
Walthamstow, E17.
The role
•
Supporting students across the secondary school
•
Providing 1
1 and small-group support
•
Supporting students with additional learning needs
•
Helping students develop confidence, independence and engagement
•
Working alongside teachers and the SEN team
•
Using your Psychology knowledge to understand and support students' individual needs
•
Assisting with classroom activities and behaviour support
The ideal candidate
•
Psychology degree, ideally 2:1 or above
•
Passionate about supporting young people
•
Confident, patient and approachable
•
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•
Interested in pursuing a career in education, SEN, educational psychology or a related field
•
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
DBS required – applicants without a DBS can be supported through the process.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychology Graduate to gain hands-on experience within a secondary school while working alongside experienced teaching and SEN professionals.
