Marylebone, Central London
Permanent
£31,200 per year (£15 per hour) | 40 paid hours per week
Monday to Friday | 8am to 5pm
Our client is looking for a friendly, dependable person to run their front of house reception and give patients and visitors a welcoming first impression.
You will be based at the building's main reception, helping patients reach the right tenant and supporting the day-to-day running of their shared spaces. This role suits someone who enjoys helping people, takes pride in keeping things organised and is comfortable with a steady routine as well as busier periods.
What You Will Do
- Welcome and check in patients and visitors.
- Liaise with tenants by internal phone and direct patients to the correct floor when they are ready to be seen.
- Receive and distribute post and deliveries to the right people throughout the building.
- Keep reception and the waiting room tidy and presentable, with regular checks of the ground-floor public toilet and agreed routine tidying or cleaning.
- Support routine building checks, report maintenance issues and take part in fire drills.
What They're Looking For
You will be approachable, organised and reliable, with clear communication skills and a calm, professional manner. You should be comfortable following procedures, handling information discreetly and using telephones and basic computer systems.
Reception or customer service experience would be helpful. Experience in a healthcare setting is welcome, although the duties described are non-clinical.
Hours and Benefits
Working hours are 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with one hour of unpaid breaks each day. This can be one hour or two half-hour breaks, by agreement. Pay is £15 per hour, equivalent to £31,200 per year for 40 paid hours per week.
31 days' paid holiday including Bank Holidays, and three days allocated to the Christmas and New Year closure.
