Technical Delivery Manager

Purpose To plan, manage and deliver the company's software projects reliably, on time and within budget, overseeing the people, technology and resources involved from specification through to deployment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and implement cost-effective solutions and technical systems
• Develop project specifications and technical requirements
• Assess and adopt new tools, frameworks and the latest technologies
• Manage people, projects and resources depending on the task at hand
• Develop, test and evaluate software designs and prototypes • Discuss and solve complex technical and delivery problems
• Make sure products can be delivered and deployed reliably
• Plan and design new development and release workflow processes
• Produce detailed specifications and outline designs for project roll-out to clients and users
• Recommend modifications following prototype and user testing results
• Use research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, including data modelling and system and process flow design
• Consider the implications of cost, security, data protection and time constraints
• Work with other professionals within and outside the technology sector, including clients and suppliers
• Monitor and commission infrastructure and systems
• Report project progress, risks and budget to the Director
