The Medical Director is expected to maintain active clinical practice, undertaking a minimum of 52 clinical sessions per annum (equivalent to approximately one programmed activity per week averaged across the year). This will ensure continued clinical credibility, visibility and engagement with frontline services. Additional clinical sessions may be undertaken subject to service requirements and will be remunerated in accordance with applicable rota arrangements. Overall Purpose of the Role The Medical Director will be a visible and influential clinical leader across Buckinghamshire, helping to shape the future of primary, urgent, community and neighbourhood-based care through collaboration, innovation, quality improvement and system leadership.
