The Role
As an
HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing HGVs to a high standard, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and correctly.
As an
HGV Technician, your responsibilities will include
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs
- Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults
- Using modern diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve vehicle issues
- Completing safety inspections and MOT preparation
- Carrying out routine preventative maintenance
- Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to the required standards
- Completing relevant paperwork and workshop records
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Working as part of a professional workshop team
About You
We’re looking for an experienced
HGV Technician who can demonstrate
- City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
- Previous experience working as an
HGV Technician
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Good mechanical and electrical knowledge
- A proactive and professional approach
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A valid UK driving licence
- HGV licence desirable but
not essential
