Van Driver & Removals Operative

We are now looking for experienced, enthusiastic and reliable Van Driver & Removals Operative with van driving experience, looking for a new career challenge within the removals industry to join our growing team based in Ely.

This is a hands-on role involving driving and supporting removal and relocation activities for key customers.

Key Responsibilities

Driving

• When required, operate a commercial vehicle in a safe and reliable manner and be responsible at all times for the vehicle and its load

• Undertake daily vehicle and safety checks, routine

• Maintain professional conduct

• Undertake daily vehicle and safety checks, routine maintenance (e.g. oil and water checks) and report any defects

• Check all vehicle loads comply with the requirements of Road Traffic Legislation and the defined operating limits of the vehicle

• Complete all vehicle paperwork as required

• Work independently and within a team where and when required

• Any other duties as may be requested by Management

Removals Operative

• Pack, carry, load and unload the vehicle containing customer and client personal effects and furniture

• Carry out work safely and in accordance with the Safe Systems at Work Procedures, methods, statements or other instructions

• Assist in bankman duties

• Complete and return paperwork as required when making deliveries

• Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and of oneself and subordinates with defined Quality System Policy and Procedures pertinent to ISO9002
