Vehicle Technician – New Southgate

We are recruiting for an experienced MOT Technician, MOT Tester, Vehicle Technician or Automotive Technician to join a busy dealership workshop in New Southgate. Applicants must hold a current MOT Testing Licence, have strong hands-on servicing and mechanical repair experience, hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have the right to work in the UK. This is not an MOT testing-only position.

Vehicle Technician Role

• Carry out MOT tests alongside servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs
• Inspect vehicles and identify worn or damaged components
• Diagnose mechanical faults accurately and efficiently
• Complete repairs to manufacturer standards and guidelines
• Provide technical advice to customers where required
• Work closely with Service Advisors and Workshop Controllers to maintain workflow
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and customer service

Vehicle Technician Requirements

• Current valid MOT Testing Licence – essential
• Strong hands-on Vehicle Technician or Mechanic experience
• Willing and able to complete mechanical work alongside MOT testing
• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent – preferred
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high technical standards
• Full and valid UK Driving Licence – essential
• Right to work in the UK
