Traffic Dispatcher

We’re looking for a Traffic Dispatcher to join our depot team and play a key role in keeping our daily operations running smoothly.

You’ll be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operation of the depot, allocating vehicles and helping to plan efficient routes. You’ll work closely with drivers, colleagues and customers to make sure we deliver an excellent service while maintaining high standards of health & safety, environmental compliance and Operator Licence requirements.

What you'll be doing

. Planning and optimising routes to maximise vehicle utilisation and deliver excellent customer service.

. Managing driver availability and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

. Coordinating vehicle checks, safety requirements and maintenance.

. Supporting depot administration, including payroll, timesheets, tachograph records and reporting.

. Monitoring depot performance and using data to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

. Working closely with drivers and the wider depot team to resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.

. Supporting employee engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.

This is more than just a desk-based role. You’ll be actively involved in the day-to-day operation of the depot, working with people and finding practical solutions when challenges arise.
