Level 3 nursery practitioner/DSL

Responsible for providing high-quality care, learning and development opportunities for children aged 2–5 years, supporting their individual needs, including children with additional needs. Duties include planning and delivering activities, observing and assessing children’s progress, promoting positive behaviour, maintaining a safe and inclusive environment, and working in partnership with parents and other professionals.

As Designated Safeguarding Lead, responsible for overseeing safeguarding and child protection procedures, recognising and responding to concerns, maintaining accurate and confidential records, making referrals to relevant agencies when necessary, and ensuring staff understand and follow the nursery’s safeguarding policies and procedures.
