About this role

Join The Pie House at Cinderhill Farm as a Food Production Apprentice. Learn to prepare ingredients, and assemble products, follow food safety standards, and support our friendly production team while working towards an apprenticeship qualification.

Working as part of our production team, you will learn how to make our range of sausage rolls, pastries and other products safely and consistently. Day-to-day duties will include preparing ingredients, using ovens under supervision, assembling products, keeping work areas clean and organised, checking stock, and supporting the team to meet production plans. You will rotate across tasks as your skills develop and complete on-the-job and apprenticeship training.

What your apprenticeship includes

  • A mixture of face to face and skype/phone catch ups every 4 - 6 weeks
  • A mixture of on and off the job training, including workshops and webinars
  • Reviews every 12 weeks with the Apprentice, Line Manager and Lifetime Trainer
  • Feedback sessions to discuss progress
  • Obtain Functional Skills in English and Maths (if you don't already have GCSE or equivalents)
  • 30 hours paid work every week

At The Pie House at Cinderhill Farm you will be working towards a Production Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship standard over the course of 15 months.
