About this role

The Dean Close Foundation is looking to appoint an enthusiastic learning support teaching assistant with experience of supporting children with

SEND on a 1

1 basis.

Working closely with the Class Teacher, Subject Specialists, SENCO, parents, and other professionals, you will provide personalised support both within and outside the classroom. You will play a key role in helping a child overcome barriers to learning, develop independence, build positive relationships, and reach their full potential.

This position presents an excellent opportunity for either a teacher-trained individual or a highly experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs.

The successful candidate will have strong communication and relationship-building skills, a good understanding of SEND, and the ability to promote learning, wellbeing and independence.

At Dean Close Foundation, our values of love, courage, and contribution underpin everything we do. As part of a supportive and collaborative team, you will have the opportunity to contribute your ideas, develop professionally, and make a meaningful difference to colleagues across the Foundation.

Early applications are encouraged, and applicants may be invited to interview prior to the closing date. We encourage any applicants with the correct competencies to apply and if reasonable adjustments are needed to apply or undertake the role, please let us know.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if a suitable candidate is appointed before the closing date. We will request references for all shortlisted candidates prior to interview.
