We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Adult Social Care Lawyer to join our legal team. Ideal candidates will have a comprehensive understanding of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and other relevant legislation, combined with strong advocacy and negotiation skills. Responsibilities
Provide expert legal advice on adult social care legislation including the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act.
Support social care teams with complex casework and decision-making processes.
Draft and review legal documentation such as care orders, deprivation of liberty safeguards, and contracts.
Represent clients and the organization in tribunals, courts, and other legal proceedings.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement best practice policies and procedures.
Conduct legal research to stay up-to-date with current laws and regulatory requirements.
Advise on safeguarding matters and contribute to risk assessments and management plans.
Provide training and informational sessions on relevant legal topics to internal teams.
