Religious Worker

Job Description

The Religious Worker will support the Priests in the daily operation of the temple and the conduct of Hindu Saiva religious services, ceremonies, and festivals. The role involves assisting with worship activities, preparing religious offerings and ceremonial materials, and ensuring that temple rituals are carried out in accordance with Hindu Saiva traditions and practices.

Key Responsibilities

Assist Priests during daily poojas, religious ceremonies, festivals, and special events.

Prepare flower garlands, Abisheka Thiraviyam, and other materials required for worship and religious rituals.

Prepare Neivediyam (Prashad) offerings, including traditional items such as Mothakam, Vadai, and other temple offerings.

Distribute Prashad to devotees in a respectful and orderly manner.

Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of worship areas, ritual items, and temple facilities.

Support the smooth running of temple activities and assist devotees when required.

Uphold and follow Hindu Saiva religious customs, traditions, and temple procedures.

Communicate effectively with Priests, temple staff, and devotees in Tamil
