Temple Musician - Thavil

One is Thavil (traditional drum) and the other is Nadhaswaram (traditional trumpet - Indian Pipe) music are played during the pooja, homam, abhishekam to the deities is very traditional in the Hindu temple. Candidates should affirm their faith as a Hindu as the job role involves assisting in worshipping and performing for the Hindu Gods. He must know how to play in the temple during various types of poojas and all these include various devotional songs with various ragas and thalam. They should be a qualified person to perform this Mangala Isai (sacred divine music). The musicians are expected to consider this role as a service to God. Applicant must be Tamil speaking and practicing Hinduism.
