Service Advisor

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-regarded family-run service centre in Woking, seeking a dedicated Service Advisor to join their team.

This role is ideal for a motivated professional with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service and working within a reputable automotive environment.

The successful Service Advisor will be the key link between customers and the workshop, ensuring high standards of service and customer satisfaction are maintained at all times.

• Competitive salary between £34,000 and £40,000 per annum, based on experience
• Monday to Friday working hours, with no weekend work

Duties of the Service Advisor

• Greet and assist customers at reception in a friendly and professional manner
• Book customer vehicles into the workshop and manage diary appointments using bespoke IT systems
• Discuss vehicle concerns and repair options with customers
• Prepare accurate estimates and obtain customer approval prior to work commencement
• Liaise with technicians to monitor vehicle progress and ensure timely completion
• Manage workshop workflow and update customers throughout the repair process
• Order parts, manage warranty claims, and handle returned parts
• Prepare invoices and process payments accurately
• Arrange loan vehicles to support customer satisfaction
• Identify additional maintenance opportunities to support business growth
• Contribute to the overall customer experience and service quality

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Service Advisor or similar role within the automotive industry is preferred but not essential
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Organisation and attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment under pressure
• Comfortable working with computer systems and workshop management software
• Reliable with a positive attitude and professional approach
• Proactive team player committed to developing a career within the automotive trade
