Parts Advisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Parts Advisor to join our client's busy and reputable team in Aylesford, Kent. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to work within a well-established workshop, supporting a diverse range of commercial vehicles including HGVs and LCVs. Parts Advisor

• Competitive salary ranging from £34,000 to £38,000 per year, with opportunities for performance-based enhancements

Duties of the Parts Advisor

• Assist the service team in sourcing and locating parts efficiently using computer systems and industry knowledge
• Maintain accurate and detailed inventory records, often utilising stock management software such as Microsoft Excel
• Process sales transactions accurately and handle customer enquiries professionally both via phone and face-to-face
• Collaborate with workshop managers and suppliers to source parts at the most competitive prices
• Manage incoming calls, directing them appropriately, and fielding customer queries
• Organise stock storage areas to ensure safety, accessibility, and compliance with health and safety standards
• Support workshop operations by managing parts deliveries, storage, and retrieval to facilitate smooth workflow

Requirements of the Parts Advisor

• Proven experience as a Parts Advisor, ideally within a commercial vehicle environment
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage stock efficiently
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical aspects clearly to customers and colleagues
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar stock management software
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures or parts supply is desirable
• A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a focus on continuous improvement
• Ability to work effectively within a team and establish good relationships with suppliers
