Part Time Band 4 AFC – Medical Staffing Administrator based at Prospect Park Hospital – Reading.
The Medical Staffing Administrator plays a central role in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the Medical Staffing service. The postholder provides high‑quality organisational, administrative, and secretarial support to the Medical Staffing Team, acting with initiative and professionalism in a fast‑paced environment.
This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritise a varied workload, and confidence in handling sensitive and confidential information. The postholder will liaise with staff at all levels, external organisations, and members of the public, contributing to efficient service delivery and a positive experience for medical staff across the Trust.
The postholder will support key workforce processes including medical recruitment, junior doctor rotations, and compliance with the New Junior Doctor Contract. They will maintain high‑quality administrative systems, coordinate meetings, analyse workforce data, and provide dedicated support to the Medical Workforce Manager.
This is a role for someone who is organised, proactive, and committed to delivering a reliable, efficient service that underpins safe staffing and effective workforce management across the Trust.
You will report to the Medical Staffing Manager
- Central coordination — Act as the main point of contact, supporting smooth and efficient Medical Staffing operations.
- Meeting organisation — Arrange meetings and events, managelogistics, and take accurate minutes.
- Administrative systems — Maintain high‑quality electronic and paper records to support service efficiency.
- Data management — Record, analyse, and report workforce data within required timescales.
- Recruitment and rotations — Support medical recruitment and junior doctor rotation processes.
- Confidential documentation — Produceaccurate correspondence, reports, and documentation.
- Managerial support — Provide administrative and diary support to the MedicalStaffing Manager.
- Service improvement — Contribute to policy development, problem‑solving, and service enhancement.
