Security Officer

Job Overview

-To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes.

-Delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer through full responsibility and accountability, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract.

-To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development.

Pay

£13.45 - £13.79 per hour

Hours

Resilience - Guaranteed 42 hours per week (covering days, nights and weekends)

Monday to Friday, rotating shift pattern: one week of early shifts (5:00am - 1:30pm), followed by one week of late shifts (12:30pm - 9:00pm)

Due to the nature of this opportunity, candidates must be able to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (CTC) Clearance - Must be a British National and have lived in the UK for the last 5 years. (this could take 4-6 weeks to complete)

Job Description

What you'll be doing

Protect Intellectual Property

Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive information.

Maintain Site Security

Perform daily tasks to keep the site secure and compliant with client expectations.

Access Control

Manage access points, including staff and vehicle searches.

Patrols & Monitoring

Conduct building patrols and monitor security alarm panels.

Emergency Response

Act swiftly and efficiently to manage risk events.

Wing Escort Duties

Prevent traffic blockages and unauthorised access.

Drug & Alcohol Testing

Conduct adhoc testing to ensure a safe work environment.

Intermediate Emergency Care (IEC) - While this is typically a voluntary role, please note that if there are not enough volunteers, IEC responsibilities may be assigned as a mandatory part of the position.

Qualifications

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you'll have

Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history.

SIA Licence

Valid Security Industry Authority licence.

Must be a British National and have lived in the UK for the last 5 years.

Must be willing and able to achieve CTC Clearance.

Driving Licence

Full valid UK manual driving licence (site subject to road laws).

Proactive & Detail-Oriented

Self-motivated with a keen eye for detail.

Excellent organisational, customer service and communication skills
