About this role
FM Conway is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic Term Maintenance business unit, supporting our Camden Contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key commercial role on a high-profile contract, helping to deliver essential highway maintenance and public realm improvements that keep one of London's busiest boroughs moving safely and efficiently.
Working as part of our established commercial team, you'll provide expert commercial support across both planned and reactive maintenance works, helping to drive performance, maximise value and support informed decision-making throughout the contract lifecycle. This is a permanent, full-time position based from our head office in Sevenoaks, Kent with occasional travel to other FM Conway locations.
As our Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include
Managing the commercial aspects of planned and reactive highway maintenance works
Undertaking CVRs and ensuring accurate financial reporting
Preparing cost estimates and valuations from task orders and project drawings
Monitoring contract performance, identifying commercial risks and opportunities, and implementing effective cost control measures
Supporting the administration of NEC Term Service Contracts and ensuring contractual compliance
Producing and presenting monthly CVR reports to senior management
Building strong working relationships with operational teams, clients and key stakeholders to support successful contract delivery
What we're looking for
We're looking for a commercially astute and proactive Quantity Surveyor with experience within the highways maintenance, civil engineering or construction sectors.
You'll have
A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
Previous experience managing commercial activities on highways or infrastructure contracts
Strong working knowledge of NEC3 Term Service Contracts
Experience producing monthly CVRs and managing contract finances
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, as occasional travel to other FM Conway locations will be required
