Join us as a Digital insights Analyst and you’ll be a big part of this.
Key responsibilities
- Develop high-quality analysis related to understanding ecommerce performance, customer behaviour, product-mix dynamics, market trends, and broader digital insight requirements.
- Conduct deep-dive analysis into performance, helping to identify actionable insights and support stakeholders in turning insight into action.
- Deliver analytical reviews to assess the performance, impact and learnings from digital promotional activity, seasonal events and trading initiatives.
- Support key strategic initiatives across ecommerce, including category growth, channel performance, digital optimisation, Marketplace and Retail Media.
- Proactively interpret internal and external data sources, using tools such as SimilarWeb and other relevant data sources to identify opportunities, risks and market developments.
- Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders across Ecommerce, Marketplace, Commercial, Product, Marketing, Retail Media and other business areas, supporting decision making through insight.
- Identify opportunities for predictive modelling, statistical analysis, and other advanced methods to enhance insight generation. Test and implement new tools, technologies, and approaches that can scale across the team.
- Work closely with other analytics, data and technology teams to align on definitions, governance, tagging requirements and scalable ways of working.
- Support the development of consistent reporting, insight frameworks and analytical best practice across the Digital Analytics team.
- Bring external thinking and awareness of market, customer and digital analytics developments to help evolve the team’s approach and increase the value delivered to the business.
- Help to define and develop website tagging requirements and recommendations to ensure data accuracy remains robust and trusted.
Required skills & experience
- You have an analytics background and are confident using SQL to extract, structure and interrogate data
- You are confident using core digital analytics and insight tools such as Google Analytics, and ideally have awareness of other behavioural analytics platforms such as Contentsquare.
- You have experience in digital and ecommerce analytics, with a good understanding of customer behaviour, onsite journeys, trading performance and digital optimisation.
- You have hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (e.g. Databricks, BigQuery) to analyse large, complex datasets.
- You can support complex analysis from problem definition through to recommendation, applying clear thinking, robust methods and strong attention to detail.
- You are comfortable working across multiple stakeholders, priorities and deadlines, while maintaining a high standard of delivery.
- You are a strong communicator who can translate analysis into clear, relevant and actionable insight for a range of audiences.
- You understand the importance of data quality, governance, tagging and clear analytical definitions, and apply these principles in your work.
- You bring good commercial awareness and can connect analysis to actions that improve customer experience, trading performance and business outcomes.
- You have experience working within Agile ways of working and using tools such as Asana, Jira or Confluence to organise and track work.
- You are curious, proactive and customer-focused, with a strong team ethic and a desire to continuously improve ways of working and the impact of analytics.
- You understand and maximise the value of analysis and data science, and act with a commercial lens, prioritising the actions and usefulness of outputs. You can translate business objectives into analytical goals, prioritise the most impactful and feasible actions, and communicate the value and benefits of your outputs to the business.
- You’re a good storyteller who can bring that value to others – you know numbers don’t always speak for themselves and have excellent visuals to support. You can deliver compelling presentations that convey your insights and recommendations clearly and persuasively.
