About the Role
As a Care Assistant, you'll support vulnerable individuals in their own homes, helping them to live safely, independently, and with dignity. You'll assist with a range of tasks, from personal care to emotional support and everyday activities.
Service User Specifics
You will be supporting a gentleman in his 60s whose facial expressions will often tell you how he is feeling. He loves watching DVDs and enjoys watching TV in his bedroom after dinner. The client has Down syndrome, learning difficulties, epilepsy, and requires catheter care. We are looking for someone who is engaging, proactive, and genuinely eager to spend quality time with him, encouraging and supporting his daily routines and activities.

Weekly pay (PAYE or umbrella options available)
Your responsibilities will include

Personal care (washing, dressing, bathing, and toileting)

Catheter care and epilepsy support

Mobility and manual handling support
-
Meal preparation (including supporting with breakfast) and feeding assistance

Encouraging and participating in daily routines and engaging activities

Companionship and proactive emotional support
-
Monitoring and recording vital signs (after training)

Medication support (where trained)

Household tasks (cleaning, laundry)

Following care plans and reporting changes or concerns
Who We're Looking For

A minimum of 6 months of professional UK Care experience.

An engaging, proactive individual willing to spend quality time and build rapport with the client.

Right to work in the UK ( We do not offer sponsorship)

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
