About this role

What you'll be doing

As the lead for the new Primary School Education Outreach Programme, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing and delivering an ambitious UK-wide digital education offer that helps children aged 4-11 understand Parliament, democracy and active citizenship. Taking the programme from concept to launch, you will create engaging live and pre-recorded educational content, including a follow-along curriculum programme, vocabulary resources and curriculum-linked learning materials, ensuring they meet the needs of schools and inspire participation from hundreds of thousands of pupils each year.

Working from the new state-of-the-art Education Outreach Digital Suite at Westminster, you will be one of the programme's main presenters, delivering dynamic live-to-camera sessions and recorded content for schools across the UK. You will oversee the day-to-day management and continuous development of the primary programme, ensuring content remains fresh, innovative and impactful while identifying new opportunities to expand the programme's reach and engagement.

You will collaborate closely with colleagues across Parliament, including Members of both Houses, Parliamentary departments and digital teams, to develop high-quality educational experiences and secure guest contributions. Working alongside the Secondary School Programmes Lead, Special Events colleagues and a Video Producer, you will contribute creatively to content development while supporting basic video production activities, digital content creation and the successful operation of the outreach programme.

In addition, you will manage an Outreach Officer, support key projects including the continued development of the Education Outreach Digital Suite, and take responsibility for programme reporting, stakeholder engagement and performance tracking through CRM systems. Working closely with the Participation Marketing Team, you will help promote the programme to schools nationwide, ensuring participation targets are achieved while contributing as an active member of the wider Education and Engagement Team.
