Are you an enthusiastic and supportive teaching assistant dedicated to helping young learners with complex needs succeed?

We are seeking a proactive and compassionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our supportive pastoral team. In this role, you will play a key part in fostering pupils' academic and personal development, helping them succeed in an inclusive and encouraging environment.

We operate a strict no-sponsorship policy; all applicants must have the permanent right to work in the UK.

Working hours

40 hours per week, term time only.

Your Role

-

Support the Class Teacher in the day-to-day management of the classroom and lead lessons in their absence.

Embed positive behaviour support (PBS) frameworks to reduce behaviours of concern and improve the quality of life for our students.

-

Conduct behavioural observations and functional assessments to inform individual support plans.

-

Provide a spectrum of educational activities tailored to students' individual EHCP requirements.

-

Promote student welfare and safeguarding in accordance with school policies.

-

Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, parents, and external professionals to ensure holistic student development.

Essentials

-

Higher Level Teaching Assistant Diploma (or Level 4 equivalent) and a Level 5 PBS Practitioner qualification or relevant experience.

-

GCSE (or equivalent) pass at grade C/4 or above in English and Maths.

-

Proven experience working with students with SEN, SLD/PMLD, ADHD, and ASD.

Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures.

-

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a solution-focused approach to challenging behaviours.

-

Able to provide your own vehicle or public transport.

-

Eligibility to work in the UK.

-

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check.
