About this role
An Enabling Independence Officer (EIO) works within Sutton’s Adult Social Care Locality Teams to support adults to maximise their independence, wellbeing and quality of life.
Working alongside Social Workers and other professionals such Occupational Therapist, EIOs use a strengths-based, person-centred approach to complete Care Act Assessments and Reviews, identify eligible care and support needs, and help people achieve their desired outcomes.
The role focuses on enabling rather than doing for people, supporting individuals to develop or maintain daily living skills, manage risks, build confidence, make informed choices and have greater control over their lives.
