Floating Support and Housing Options Officer

The role will primarily focus on resettling Sutton's displaced, homeless residents placed in Nightly Paid Accommodation (NPA) or Temporary Accommodation (TA), into long term housing. Typically into the private sector, sometimes to social housing, to reduce the number and length of stay of Sutton's homeless households into longer-term, sustainable accommodation.

The Role Requires

The forming of trusted relationships with sometimes vulnerable and displaced customers quickly

Checking households' income and expenditure, budgeting, income maximisation and an understanding of how to determine the rent affordability levels

A current understanding of the benefit system and its reforms

Knowing where to find and create opportunities for property viewings

Landlord and letting agent negotiations

Working autonomously and as part of a team within a defined framework
