Dalry Primary School is a diverse and multicultural primary school & nursery, 5min walk from Haymarket Station. We are looking for an Early Years Officer to join our enthusiastic and committed team, and to be part of our positive and nurturing environment.
The working hours for this post are Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:00 (with a 30min break), and Friday 08:00 to 14:30 (with a 30min break)

The successful candidate will have post qualifying experience in an Early Years setting and relevant experience of working with parents and carers. The role has supervision responsibility and will support and mentor colleagues in the nursery team. Experience of this is desirable.
PLEASE NOTE
You must ensure that you have one of the following qualifications before you apply: HNC Child Care and Education, SVQ level 3 or Social Services (Children and Young People) SCQF Level 7. When completing the application form please state clearly the name of your qualification and level as stated above. We will be unable to consider your application if you do not have the required qualification which is Essential to the role. An HND Childhood Practice is desirable for the role.
Early Years Practitioners working in services registered with the Care Inspectorate are required to be registered, without conditions, with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as Practitioner in Day Care of Children, and maintain registration throughout the period of employment.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
