Clinical Associate in Psychology (CAP)

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities As a CAP, you will be responsible for undertaking comprehensive psychological assessments and developing formulations that enhance understanding of the emotional, behavioural and social factors affecting an individual's physical and mental health. Using evidence-based approaches, you will deliver psychological interventions, to support improved health outcomes and quality of life. Interventions will be delivered individually or in a group and the role may involve working across multiple sites. You will work collaboratively with service users, carers and support networks to promote engagement, recovery, including understanding the relationship between physical and psychological health. Alongside this, you will deliver culturally sensitive, inclusive and equitable person-centred care, recognising the impact of diversity and health inequalities for all service users. Essential Qualifications Undergraduate degree in Psychology with Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society. MSc Clinical Associate in Psychology (MCAP) qualification from an accredited training provider. Starting with NELFT NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing onengagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Goodmayes Hospital. Probationary Period This post will be subject to a probationary period.
