Senior Clinical Support Worker

The Royal Stoke Emergency Department is currently undergoing an exciting period of development and transformation. As part of this, we are seeking enthusiastic and committed Band 3 Clinical Support Workers to join our established Emergency Department team. The key responsibility of this role is to provide essential clinical care to patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. Maintaining accurate, timely, and comprehensive documentation is a vital part of the role, ensuring high standards of record-keeping within nursing documentation. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will work closely within a multidisciplinary team and engage effectively with patients and their families. This post is currently offered on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2027. However, due to normal staff turnover, there may be opportunities to secure a permanent position should one become available during this period. Our workforce model is focused on delivering safe, high-quality patient care while promoting leadership and supporting the ongoing development of our nursing staff. Successful applicants will benefit from a supernumerary period and structured, on-the-job training provided by an experienced and supportive team.
