Consistent working hours

Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm, with 5 Saturday mornings per year paid as overtime and a day off during the week

Duties

  • Conduct servicing, repairs, and routine maintenance on vehicles
  • Complete comprehensive vehicle inspections and identify necessary repairs
  • Perform mechanical and electrical work to high standards
  • Diagnose and rectify faults effectively
  • Ensure all work is completed accurately within specified timescales
  • Maintain excellent workmanship and safety standards
  • Identify additional repair needs and upselling opportunities
  • Deliver professional customer service both independently and within a team setting

Requirements

  • Level 2 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician
  • Proven experience working within automotive workshops, with main dealer experience advantageous
  • MOT Tester qualification would be beneficial
  • Strong mechanical and technical knowledge
  • Excellent attention to detail and workmanship quality
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-orientation
  • Motivation to develop technical skills and progress within the business
  • Experience in independent garages or other automotive environments considered
