About this role

Job Responsibilities 1. Clinical Care & Patient Management Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised nursing care programmes for patients across all age groups. Initiate diagnostic processes for patients suspected of having long-term conditions and support them toward self-management. Recognise clinical deterioration or complex presentations and refer appropriately to GPs or wider multidisciplinary colleagues. Provide travel health risk assessments, vaccinations, and preventative advice appropriate to scope of competence. 2. Medicines & Vaccine Safety Ensure safe storage, cold-chain maintenance, stock rotation, and disposal of vaccines and pharmaceutical stock. Administer medicines safely via PGDs or Patient Specific Directions (PSDs), recognizing and reporting any adverse events promptly. 3. Infection Control & Safeguarding Adhere to strict Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) measures, assisting the IPC Lead with regular clinical environment audits. Identify safeguarding concerns regarding vulnerable children or adults and follow practice escalation protocols immediately. 4. Clinical Governance & Team Working Participate in clinical audits, significant event analyses, and quality improvement activities to support CQC compliance and high standards of care. Engage in multidisciplinary team debriefs, clinical meetings, and daily peer-support sessions. Support and mentor nursing trainees, healthcare assistants, and learners attached to the practice.
