Your new role

As Export Shipping Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for managing international export shipments from order through to delivery, ensuring goods are shipped on time, cost-effectively and in line with customer, customs and country-specific requirements.

You will coordinate shipments across air, road and sea freight, selecting the most appropriate transport method and freight forwarder to meet customer expectations and delivery deadlines. Working closely with customers, colleagues, carriers and freight partners, you will proactively resolve issues, manage priorities and ensure shipments continue to move efficiently through the supply chain.

The role will also involve preparing and managing export, customs and shipping documentation, including Certificates of Origin and, where required, Letters of Credit and inspection requirements. In addition, you will monitor shipping costs and performance, identify opportunities for process improvement and support wider UK transport requirements when needed.

This is a varied and hands-on role, offering autonomy and responsibility within a busy export and logistics environment.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this position, you will have previous experience within export shipping, international logistics, freight forwarding or supply chain operations. You will possess a strong understanding of export documentation, customs procedures and international freight movements, alongside excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.

You will also demonstrate

• Experience coordinating export shipments by air, road and sea
• Strong knowledge of customs processes and international shipping requirements
• Experience preparing export and shipping documentation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Commercial awareness with an understanding of freight costs and service levels
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands
• Confidence working independently and managing time-critical issues
• Good Microsoft Office skills, with Dynamics D365 experience advantageous
• Aviation Security Certificate Level D would be beneficial

What you'll get in return

• £30,000 salary

Flexible working hours

Monday to Thursday 08:00-17:00 and Friday 08:00-12:30
