About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced

Site Manager to oversee a 6-week fire stopping project within a

Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) office in East Kilbride, Scotland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the site, coordinating subcontractors and specialist fire stopping trades, ensuring works are delivered safely, to the required quality standards and in accordance with the project programme.

This is a client-facing position, so the successful Site Manager must be

professional, presentable, organised and confident when dealing with clients and stakeholders.

Experience working within

government, commercial or occupied office environments would be highly advantageous.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Day-to-day site management

Take responsibility for the daily running of the project, coordinating fire stopping contractors, trades, deliveries and site activities to ensure the works progress efficiently.

Health & Safety

Maintain a strong health and safety culture on site, ensuring RAMS, site inductions, toolbox talks, permits and inspections are completed and adhered to throughout the project.

Programme & Coordination

Manage the short-term programme and coordinate subcontractors to ensure the fire stopping works are completed within the 6-week programme. Identify and resolve any issues that could impact progress.

Quality & Compliance

Monitor the quality of fire stopping works, ensuring installations are completed in accordance with the relevant specifications, manufacturers' requirements and project standards. Maintain accurate records, photographs and site documentation.

Client & Stakeholder Management

Act as the main site-based point of contact for the client and other stakeholders, providing regular progress updates, managing queries and ensuring the works are carried out professionally with minimal disruption to the DWP's operations.

Essential Requirements

  • Strong

Site Management experience

  • Previous experience managing

fire stopping or passive fire protection works

  • Experience managing subcontractors and specialist trades
  • Strong knowledge and proven experience of

Health & Safety

  • Strong programme and progress management skills
  • Professional, presentable and confident when dealing with clients
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to manage site activities independently
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Experience maintaining site documentation, quality records and project reports

SMSTS - Essential

Relevant CSCS Site Manager/Supervisor card - Essential

  • Ability to work within a professional and potentially occupied office environment

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

Fire stopping / passive fire protection experience

  • Relevant fire stopping qualifications or training

Procore experience

  • First Aid at Work
  • Asbestos Awareness
